Crispus, Caesar, 316-326. Follis (Bronze, 17 mm, 2.49 g, 7 h), a contemporary imitation of an issue from Treveri, after 321. CRISPVS NOB CAE Laureate and cuirassed bust of Crispus to left, holding spear forward in his right hand and shield in his left. Rev. BEATA TRAN-QVILLITAS / PTR Globe set on altar inscribed VO/TIS / XX; above, three stars. Prototype unlisted in RIC, cf. http://www.notinric.lechstepniewski.info/7tri-309_g8l.html (for a similar imitation). Attractive patina. Very fine.
